Detlor & Waddell was a partnership of William E. Detlor and J. H. Waddell in Bradford, Pennsylvania. In March, 1886 it was noted that Prof. J. P. Hoffman was "manipulating the camera" for a series of architectural views produced by the studio. In August, 1887 Waddell suddenly became completely blind. Completely overwhelmed by grief, his physical and mental health declined and he died within weeks.
