Erastus G. Rollins was an artist in Haverhill, MA by 1865. In 1866, he partnered with Lorenzo D. Judkins as Judkins & Rollins, photographers, in Lawrence, MA. He was a photographer in Gloucester by 1869, and had his own studio on Front Street the following year. He was a photographer in Gloucester and Rockport until 1880, when he bacame a farmer. In 1892, he was a shoemaker in San Diego with his son Fred, but was back to farming in Norton, MA by 1900. His wife Adelphia died there in 1907, and his name appears without a death date on a gravestone alongside hers and those of their children, Charlie F. (1868-1869) and Fred P. (1870-1907). He married Clementine P. Richards (or McIntosh) in 1910 in Rockland, Maine. In 1914, he was back in San Diego and retired, but it is unclear whether Clementine is there with him. He died there on February 1, 1918.
