Bigelow & Coit were an insurance firm that formed after the great Chicago fire of 1871. In 1873 they added a partner to become Bigelow, Coit & Peck. As Bigelow & Coit, they advertised with a stereocard, though mounted with two dissimilar images, each half bearing an image of a building gutted by the fire.
