Simon Alschuler
American, ca. 1831-1872
MaleSimon Alschuler was the younger brother and sometimes partner of Samuel D. Alschuler in Chicago. He was primarily involved in the family clothing business in Ottawa, though tax assessments indicate he was also engaged in photography there from 1862 to 1865. Some sources credit him with views of the 1871 Chicago fire, though it was more likely his brother Samuel.
