John Badger Bachelder

John Badger Bachelder was a painter, printmaker, photographer and a scholar of the US Civil War. He was an artist in Andover, New Hampshire in the 1850s and 1860s, where he made stereo views. By 1867 he had moved to New York where he was a publisher. He continued in publishing in Boston from 1873 until the end of his life. He was considered an expert on the Gettysburg battle, and helped organize reunions of soldiers.
