Max Saxon

MaleMoisey Sklarevsky was born in Russia (Ukraine) and arrived in the US from Canada in 1902. He changed his name to Max Saxon (sometimes Moses). He had studios in New York as early as 1905, and possibly had studios in Chicago or elsewhere in the 1910s and 1920s. His wife Sophia was listed as a photographer in New York in 1914. They resided in Chicago during the 1930 Census, though he still had a studio in New York. By 1940, they had relocated to Toledo, Ohio, where he died in 1960.
