William S. Aunspach

MaleWilliam S. Aunspach was a photographer as well as tax collector in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania in the 1880s. In the early 1890s he announced that his studio was open only 3 days a week, and opened another studio in Tower City. By 1895 he was living in Lebanon, and set up temporary studios throughout Schuylkill County. In 1897 he sold his Pine Grove gallery to Samuel J. Schlappich, though he occasionally operated a branch there into the 1910s. He either moved, retired or died by the middle of the decade, as no further notices of studios were found.
