FemaleKatie Bryant was an attendant in the Indianapolis Insane Hospital in 1889 before taking up photography in 1890. In an 1893 advertisement she boasted the only portait "background representing a Catholic church altar. With this background communion pictures can be made to look just as they appear in church." She continued as a photographer in Indianapols as late as 1921, sometimes working alongside her husband David C. Bryant.
