Lee Photographic Gallery succeeded Vannerson & Jones in Richmond, Virginia by December, 1870. The studio was operated by William W. and John W. Davies. John Davie had previously run the Richmond Musical Exchange, but sold his interest in that firm ib April, 1870 to devote himself to photography.
