George Palmer [Buffalo, NY]

Born in England, George Palmer immigrated to the US in 1857. By 1861 he was a photographer in Buffalo and a gunner in the Army, and the following year was listed as a daguerrean without a business address in the city directory. His wherabouts are unknown for the rest of that deacde, but reappeared in 1870. Again, he is gone from Buffalo for the remainder of the 1870s. His daughter Ella was born in Lansing, Iowa in 1875, but no record of a photographer with this name is found. He returned to Buffalo by 1885 and continued as a photographer there as late as 1906.
