After her husband's death at age 42 in 1921, Helen G. Stage took over his business. She was usually credited as Mrs. W. Burden Stage (and incorrectly listed in 1933, twice, as W. Stage McBurden). On the 1940 census she was listed as Angie Stage. She died in June of that year. Her daughter, Helen Marie Stage, was also a photographer.
