A Walter Albert Harvey changed his name to Walter Elbert Chickering in Boston (date unknown). This is perhaps the photographer Walter E. Chickering. The prominent Boston photographer Elmer Chickering's advertisements stated that he was not associated with any other studio in the city, an evident reference to Walter E. Chickering. This photographer had studios from 1881 to 1891. He died of "Exhaustion in Terminal Dementia" in the Boston Insane Hospital in 1905. No relatives were listed.
