View raw data

Mary was a school teacher in the 1880 census, and by 1900, both she and her sister Frances S. ("Fanny") are listed as photographers. In 1930, both have seemingly retired from photography. Eskind states that both had initially been school teachers, but developed hearing problems which caused them to leave the profession.
