George G. Rockwood was a partner in Rockwood & Co. In 1873, "Rockwood & Co." was not found in city directories, but both George G. and Elihu R. Rockwood are listed as photographers at 845 Broadway. There are so many variants of addresses, name forms, related photographers, and entities that seem to exist for just a year before dissolving, that the address list was inherently suspect without serious further research.
