Folsom's Photograph Gallery
American, active 1870s-1890s
No Gender (Business or Collective)A news item from Carmel, New York identifies an otherwise unidentified photographer named Folsom as a travelling photographer, noting in May, 1874 that "owing to the increasing business at his permanent rooms, he will be compelled to discontinue his travelling gallery after this trip." The Folsom Studio was evidently based in Brewster, New York, based on stereo views in the New York Public Library collection. The gallery continued for some time, as in June, 1898 it was reported that a Miss Jarrold was leaving Folsom's Gallery.
