They took stereoscopic views of the city, and did contract work, documenting the local schools for the city. In December, 1897 the studio suffered $2,000 in water damage during a fire in their building. The studio continued the following year under Emil Boehl's name, though Lorenz Koenig may have still been involved in the studio.
