Edward Borhek & Son
American, active 1860s-1880s
No Gender (Business or Collective)In 1866 Edward Borhek changed the name of his Philadelphia optician's shop to Edward Borhek & Son, though John G. Borhek had been working with his father for some years prior. They were partners through 1880, after which time Edward continued alone. They are known to have distributed stereoviews, and as their stamp was often placed over the photographer's name they are sometimes credited as photographers. It is not known what, if any, involvement they had with photography beyond selling them.
