Frederick Louis Howe
American, 1858-ca. 1904
MaleFrederick Louis Howe was the son of George W. Howe, and is not the photographer Frederick L. Howe, son of photographer Caleb Lysander Howe of Vermont. Frederick L. Howe of Atlanta appears in the 1910 census with the birth date of 1864, but his will (executed in 1904) lists a brother George H. Howe of Westborough, MA. This connects the Atlanta photographer to the photographer found in the Westborough city directory in 1882, and a Masonic membership card which gives his full name and precise birthdate. An advertisement in Atlanta states "Two Highest Medals Won in Boston & New York". This may connect him to the photographer previously in New York City, but that is inconclusive.
