Herve A. Homer

American, 1861-1921

View raw data

Herve A. Homer had opened a photo studio on Columbus Avenue in New York by 1900. In 1899 and 1900 he was also listed as vice president of a company, but the nature of that business is not known. He appeared in city directories alternately as Hervy, Henry, and Herbert A. Homer, though "Herve" seems correct. In 1908 the studio was succeeded by Norman B. Henry, and Homer seems to given up photography. He and his wife Nellie lived a few years in York, Pennsylvania, then in her native Buffalo, New York where he worked a variety of jobs, including candy manufacturer, before his death in 1921.
