Bell & Hall was a partnership of WIlliam Hamilton Bell and A. F. Hall in Washington, DC. Bell was of the family of photographers which included his father Francis Hamilton Bell and several brothers, including Charles Milton Bell. The Bell & Hall studio occupied the address of Bell & Bro. which had closed the previous year with the death of his brother Thomas Bell. The following year (1877), Bell worked with his father, again under the name of Bell & Bro.
