Arnold C. Hinton is a photographer specializing in documenting people in Africa, the United States, the Caribbean, South America and Europe. Commercially he has worked in fashion photography and developed a line of greeting cards and posters.Born in New York City, in 1940, Hinton worked at the New York Public Library in the Picture Collection from the mid 1950's until 1964. He attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn as an Art major. He also studied photography at the New School for Social Research and illustration at the Art Student's League, both in Manhattan. Hinton has been a professional photographer since 1963, working freelance, on assignment and for his own company.
