Samuel W. Broadbent, Margaret W. Merrihew, and Laura Merrihew were involved in Broadbent Co. Robert C. Broadbent does not seem to have been a partner in this firm, though it succeded Broadbent Bros. at the same address. Samuel W. Broadbent disappeared from Philadelphia business directories in 1892, but returned in 1902. He was replaced as a partner by L. Merrihew in 1909. The variant name Broadbent & Co. appeared in the 1908 Philadelphia directory. In 1914, Henry C. Howland opened Broadbent Studio at Broadbent Co.'s previous address (1437 Chestnut).
